Specify coir for the job it will do
For greenhouse crops, compare production slabs using hydrated dimensions, planting layout and drainage design. For soft-fruit containers, start with the crop team’s required root-zone volume and the physical grade of the medium. Teral BLU is a separate blueberry range, with 25, 30 and 40 litre formats and custom sizes available.
Nurseries and substrate blenders can use a different purchasing brief: particle grade, expansion, moisture and the volume needed for each production run. This helps distinguish compressed raw material for blending from a bagged substrate intended for filling pots.
Buying a peat-free coir component
Coco coir is a coconut-derived component. If you are developing a peat-free finished mix, confirm every ingredient in that mix, including any additions supplied by another producer. A coir component does not establish the performance or certification of the entire finished product.
For substitutions, run a crop and irrigation trial. Record water retention, drainage and nutrient management alongside material price. Washed low-EC and buffered grades are separate specifications; decide which grade belongs in your formulation and record the agreed EC test method.
Private label and delivery planning
For an own-brand range, share the pack size, proposed label, required barcode and pallet preference. Agree who approves the artwork and product claims before printing. Teral can discuss OEM and private-label formats through its partnership enquiry.
Give the UK delivery postcode and state whether the destination is in Great Britain or Northern Ireland so the parties can review the relevant shipment arrangements. Pricing, availability, document requirements and transport scope are confirmed for each order. This is supply from India, not a promise of UK-held inventory.
