THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

Short events can deliver a changing mixture into cocopeat even when the average tank EC looks right.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Record injection start and stop times relative to the zone valve.
  2. Collect separate emitter samples across the event.
  3. Check line volume, mixing delay and any water-only tail in the programme.

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

When does EC change?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

Low at the beginning

Review transit delay and the proportion of the event that delivers the intended feed.

Low at the end

Check whether a programmed water-only tail is intentional and appropriate.

Irregular throughout

Inspect injector operation and supply stability before adjusting crop targets.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Show the event profile to the irrigation operator and nutrient adviser.

Keep in mind

Do not use one mid-event sample to describe a highly variable complete pulse.
