THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

A coir crop may need regular feed, but concentrated solution must not return to the water source.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Ask a qualified installer to specify protection appropriate to the source and local requirements.
  2. Check installation records, inspection dates and the designated testing procedure.
  3. Keep bypasses and connections documented when zones or injectors change.

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

What is the installation status?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

New injector planned

Include backflow protection in the design before commissioning.

Existing protection has no records

Arrange an inspection and establish a maintenance schedule.

Unexpected reverse flow suspected

Stop injection and have the system assessed before resuming.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Retain the installer’s approved design and service record.

Keep in mind

A simple non-return valve is not automatically sufficient for every water connection.
