THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

Clean coir can become contaminated during handling and storage.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Check that the storage area is sheltered and clean
  2. Keep bags off dirty floors and away from runoff
  3. Retain labels and close opened packaging

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

What has happened to the bag?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

Clean and dry storage

Reseal and follow the supplier's storage guidance.

Exposed to dirty water

Set it aside and discuss suitability before nursery use.

Batch identity lost

Restore records before mixing it with another batch.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Use a dated stock rotation record and dedicated clean scoops.

Keep in mind

An unopened manufacturing claim does not guarantee cleanliness after poor storage.
