Why are cocopeat bags at the end of a row drier?

Inspect a row pattern before assuming the substrate batch varies.

THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

Lower delivery at distant outlets can leave coir under-supplied even when the first bags drain normally.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Compare collected output at the beginning and end of the row.
  2. Read operating pressure at the locations recommended by the irrigation supplier.
  3. Check simultaneous zones, elevation differences and the installed lateral length against the design.

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

Where is the difference?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

Pressure and output decline together

Have the system designer review pressure losses and zone demand.

Pressure is suitable but output differs

Inspect emitters and local restrictions before changing the zone design.

Output matches but moisture differs

Compare plant size, exposure and initial hydration of the bags.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Create a simple row map with pressure, collected volume and crop observations.

Keep in mind

Pump pressure at the head unit is not proof that every emitter receives suitable pressure.
