Can a short irrigation pulse miss distant cocopeat bags?

Watch an entire start-up cycle instead of timing only the controller command.

THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

Coir at distant outlets may receive less water when a pulse ends before delivery has stabilised.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Record when the first and last representative emitters begin delivering.
  2. Collect the complete delivered volume during the intended pulse.
  3. Check empty lines, valve response and pressure build-up with the irrigation technician.

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

What do you observe?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

Distant outlets start late

Review line retention, zone design and pulse duration before programming more pulses.

Start-up is uniform

Investigate other reasons for uneven moisture, including root distribution.

Start-up varies between cycles

Check supply stability and valve operation; repeat measurements across several cycles.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Compare actual emitter delivery time with controller run time.

Keep in mind

A timer setting alone does not establish the volume delivered to each bag.
