THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

A leaking line can waste nutrient solution and reduce the water reaching coir bags elsewhere.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Compare flow-meter totals for the same programmed event.
  2. Inspect joints, valves, benches and unusually wet floor areas during operation.
  3. Check whether the flow meter moves when all intended outlets are closed.

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

What is different?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

Use rises without more drainage

Look for leaks or unintended open zones before increasing feed preparation.

One area is persistently wet

Inspect nearby tubing and connections, including hidden undersides.

Meter moves with zones closed

Arrange a valve and pipe inspection; first verify that no other authorised use shares the meter.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Repair the cause and compare the next several event totals.

Keep in mind

Do not assume every increase in water use means the crop is growing faster.
