THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

Unplanned water after shut-down can keep low-positioned coir wetter than neighbouring bags.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Observe which emitters continue dripping and for how long after shut-down.
  2. Compare their elevation and connection layout with bags that stop promptly.
  3. Check whether anti-drain or check-valve features are installed and operating as specified.

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

What happens after shut-down?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

Only low emitters keep flowing

Have the irrigation supplier review line drainage and anti-drain requirements.

All emitters flow for a similar short period

Measure this contribution before assuming a fault; compare with the equipment specification.

One outlet never stops

Inspect its valve or emitter condition using the supplier service procedure.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Include post-shut-down water in the affected bag comparison.

Keep in mind

Do not move drainage openings to hide a delivery imbalance.
